Campus Birds

There are many different types of birds on Cal Poly land. We focused on four birds that we each found to be unique and important to the natural life here at Cal Poly. These four birds include the California Towhee, California Quail, American Goldfinch and Anna's Hummingbird. Many other birds are also seen flying around this area; some of them are the Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper Hawk, Northern Harrier, Sharp-shinned Hawk, American Kestrel, White-tailed Kite. These birds are also described below, but in less detail.
