Stenner Canyon lies north and west of the central campus. It is the watershed of Stenner Creek, which runs parallel to Brizziolari Creek, down the slopes of Cuesta ridge, through the old Serrano Ranch, the Kirshner property, the gorge spanned the Union Pacific railroad trestle, through Cal Poly's agricultural area and eventually ends at a confluence with San Luis Obispo Creek near the Marsh St. interchange of Highway 101.
