Physical Description: Size: 11-13 cm, Wing span: 17 cm, heavily barred tail and slightly barred wings, short tail often held erect. Thin pointy bill. Breast paler than back.

Habitat: Found near farmlands and woodland edges. Resident along coastal California.

Diet: Feeds on small terrestrial invertebrates.
