Habitat/Migration
• This bird is found spanning the entire continent.
• It winters in the southern portion of the U.S. and even
down to Mexico.
• During the summer/breeding season it migrates to the
northern U.S. and into the lower latitudes of Canada.
• These birds are gregarious, meaning that they migrate
in large aggregations of birds, often interspersed with other
species.
• Their habitat consists of open grasslands, woodlands,
riparian areas, and orchards.
