Home to the Cal Poly Mustang softball team The new home to the Cal Poly softball team opened in the spring of 2001. It is part of the new sports complex and is located adjacent to Baggett Stadium. Bob Janssen Field is a NCAA regulation field and has seating for approximately 800 fans. The first game was a victory over UC Riverside on March 3, 2001. From the opening of Janssen Field the women of Cal Poly have thrived on their home field. As of the conclusion of the 2003 season the Mustangs record is 35-26. The scoreboard which sits behind the center field wall makes it easy for fans and players alike to keep track of the game and its score.
Here two women's softball teams of the neighboring community are seen deep in the competition of the game.
