Fauna

The county of San Luis Obispo is home to a variety of animals. The canyons, ranches and creeks of Cal Poly Land are especially unique places to view various types of wildlife and domestic animals.

However, without proper conservation and wildlife enhancement efforts many of these animals could find themselves without a place to thrive.

Animals found in the wild are best seen during the early morning or evening. Domestic animals can be seen throughout the day, and are most accessibly found at one of Cal Poly's many ranch areas.

The animals explored on Cal Poly Land thus far have been categorized by the following subtopics: species (deer), family (birds), habitat (creek creatures) and agricultural process (domestic animals).
