Ranch Horse Enterprise Project

Beginning in January, students are assigned either one or two horses that are either donated by sponsors of Cal Poly's equine program, or born and raised at Cal Poly. These two-year-old horses are trained and conditioned through the enterprise. Eventually the horses will be prepared for the annual Cal Poly Ranch Horse Sale at the end of the following Spring quarter.

It is pertinent that the students involved in this program have adequate equestrian experience to insure proper training of the horses. This program provides the opportunity to train "along side" the horse(s) each student is assigned.
