The Equine Center is located at the north end of Via Carta Road
on the campus of California Polytechnic State University in San
Luis Obispo. The land was originally part of the Protrero de San
Luis Obispo Spanish Land grant.
Not only is the Equine Center home for Cal Poly horses, but for
other living organisms as well. Animals, plants and soils reside
in the area of the Equine facilities, contributing to the diversity
and complexity of the site.
