Quarter Horse Enterprise Project

From spring into fall, students who participate in the Quarter Horse Enterprise Project are given the challenge of taking a two-year old Cal Poly bred horse, or donated two year old, to train from "the ground up." This includes getting the horse comfortable with a halter and basic ground work. Training continues until the horse is three years old. With the help of faculty input and demonstrations of local and world famous horse trainers, the students will prepare these horses to be sold in the Annual Snaffle Bit Futurity and Horse Sale in Reno, Nevada.
