Weather
In the winter time, Stenner Creek has almost no resemblance to a creek at all. It turns into a whitewater, rushing monster. Water flows solidly from one bank to another at depths of two to four feet. The extra water makes the creek exciting as parts of plants, tree limbs, and the occasional kayaker float by. The rain also transforms the dry and dusty slopes into a beautiful display of plant life. As the weather moves on towards summer, the water levels fall and the color ebbs from the plants and trees. Most of the grasses and weeds die off and become compost for the next generation.
