Follow the path directly uphill for about one more minute, or about 40 feet. At this point, you will see the clump of trees directly to your left; your path will continue right through them. Congratulations, you have made it to Spring #1! Note the wet, swampy ground and the abundance of riparian vegetation surrounding it.

If you face toward the valley below, you can see the Design Village and the path the spring water travels downhill. Note that across the valley you can see a large clump of Coast Live Oaks - just above this area is the location of Spring #2.
