Awaking from Slumber

Waking up from a long cozy winter, the Seep Monkeyflower plant begins its springtime birth, stretching masses of sticky leaves towards the sun in search of life source. Slowly, delicate flowers appear and begin budding, acting as delicate babes first facing the strain of sun and rough environment. After time has aged the newly opened blossoms, the friendly plant becomes a thicket of creeping foliage, augmenting the dull earth and hillside with sprinkles of yellow and orange flower clusters. Becoming a safe haven for insects and animals, the thickets of monkeyflower spread and enwrap the earth in its lush, curled leaves. The mighty monkeyflower has usurped the land, covering the beloved Poly Canyon pathway with its tubular evergreen leaves and springtime flowers.
