Anna's Hummingbird has a length of 4 inches. The bill is short,
and markings include rayish underparts with some green washing.
The males' heads, sides of necks, and throats are deep reddish
pink. Females may have red flecks on whitish throats. This bird
is a yearlong resident of riparian woodlands and chaparral.
