This is an outline of the biased! theory by which a transportation engineer explains all phenomena.

Everything that is around us is influenced by transportation in a rather dramatic way.

The location (and potential of success) of cities has been connected to transportation. Proximity to water has been a key point in older years. Drinking water availability (partly a transportation problem) and water based transportation were vital for the success of a city. A look around the world at the older city locations easily proves the point.
