Cal Poly Farm land

Cal Poly dairy unit

The Farm hike begins at the crop unit and then follows Stenner Creek and then passes Mount Bishop road to the beef evaluation corral. Follow the railroad tracks to the experimental farm. The experimental is a student run organic farming project on 1.5 acres of land that is used to grow spinach, cauliflower and cabbage. From the experimental farm you will next pass the dairy unit and then past the rodeo, returning to the crops unit.

Directions to the Farm Hike:

  • Take Highland Drive to Mt. Bishop Road.
  • Turn left on Mt. Bishop road.
  • The crop unit is on the right, park in the dirt lot.
