Cal Poly "P"

The following images taken from the Cal Poly "P" in May of 2004 are courtesy of Trevor Strickland, a third year Physics major at Cal Poly. Trevor and his friends from the dorms hiked the hill to the "P" to capture this sunset his freshman year.

The steep hike up to the "P" ended with a rewarding bird's eye view of the city of San Luis Obispo. It was refreshing to escape from the busyness of campus life to gain a fresh perspective on where we live.

A thin layer of fog rolled in and enveloped the surrounding hillsides, creating a soft orange and pink sky line.

As the sun went down on San Luis Obispo, the city lights turned on one by one. Soon the entire city was speckled by warm yellow lights, inviting residents into the homes, restaurants, and storefronts. Although the sun had set, for many the night life in SLO was just beginning.
