Central Coast Sunsets

The dictionary defines a sunset as the event or time of the daily disappearance of the sun below the western horizon; however, there is much more to sunsets than just that! This website is your guide to everything under the sun. You will find out scientific information on what makes a sunset, timing differences, external factors on sunsets, and overall fun facts. We have also included experiences we have had with sunsets and the images, thoughts, feelings and poems that they have provoked in our section on sunsets on Cal Poly land. Also contained in this website is information on the sun gods of ancient Egypt as well as ways to calculate what time the sun will set by city and by latitude and longitude. Once you are done viewing our website, we strongly encourage you to go out and experience a sunset for yourself!
