Poly Canyon Trail
Seasons Change

"Spring is nature's way of saying 'Let's Party!'"

- Robin Williams

The landscape trail into Poly Canyon is a good representation of the changes occuring throughout the spring season. The following pictures were taken on three different spring days. The pictures show the seasonal transition of the land.

April 24, 2005

The trail into Poly Canyon is surrounded by green grasses. The trail itself is quite muddy. You can hear the creek rushing with the run off from the lastest storm.

May 15, 2005

The trail has begun to transform into a cornucopia grass, shrubs, and wildflowers. The introduction of the seasonal wildflowers creates breathtaking views.

June 01, 2005

All the hills are golden brown. Many of the wildflowers still cover the canyon walls, but others have started to disappear. The land is drying out, which illustrates a contrast between the golden grass and the lush, green oak trees.
