In
the spring quarter of 2002, ASI hosted a week of presentations and
booths from many environmental sources culminating at the Cal Poly
Earth Day celebration that weekend. Earth Week is held in
the University Union with a variety of groups and organizations
that help perserve Cal Poly Land and San Luis Obispo County. Some
of the groups and brochure topics present at Earth Day this year
included:
- Renewable Energy Education Program
- San Luis Creek and Our Community
- Mammals of San Luis Obispo
- Monarch Butterflys
- City of San Luis Obispo Ranger Service
- CSI - Cal Poly Sustainability Initiative
- And many more!!!

The Earth Day stage hosted some fun bands promting
a welcoming atmosphere and much dancing.

Students, faculty, and the public
gathered on this lovely weekend, experiencing many booth displays,
free organic food, and even hemp jewelry-making.
