Cal Poly Soil and Water Resources

A CIMIS (California Irrigation Management Information System) station is located adjacent to the irrigation practice field on campus. This station measures precipitation, humidity, temperature, and wind speed as well as other weather data. That data can be used to construct a water budget and as an aid in determining the timing of irrigation. The unit is solar powered and its data can be accessed by computer at the following website:
