Touted to be a lightweight XC stopper, the Marta is by far the best experience we've had with Magura. These binders put out plenty of stopping power with little effort at the lever. Part of the magic must be credited to the all-alloy construction of the unit. When given the big squeeze it didn't flex at all. The Dual piston Marta has beautiful modulation. A complete range of power is available from feather touch to sledge-hammer.

Where the Marta falls short is adjustability, or lack of it. The only compensation you can make for rotor/caliper relation is with shims. A problem if you need to move the caliper away from the center of the wheel. The other was inconsistent lever feel. Not pump-up, but with every pull the pads would engage at a different point. At times maximum power would come on quickly, while other times the lever would require a longer pull.

If you can get past the lack of adjustment, the Marta is quite a disc.
