George Hasslein taught several generations
of architecture students at Cal Poly. He began teaching in 1950,
was instramental in establishing the College of Architecture and
Environmental Design in 1968, and continued teaching until 2001.
He demonstrated his devotion to teaching when he made the comment,
"We should pay for the privilege of teaching".
