Drawbacks
Took out 50-acres of the most productive grazing land on Cal Poly campus.
The size of the sheep flock had to be reduced.
The orchard leads to water run-offs during rainy seasons. At one point thousands of tons of soil came down the hill with the rain.
It disrupted the ecological balance and will eventually lead to a monoculture, which decreases chances for learning.
