Bought in 1999, the Gallo Vineyard is a wonderful learning tool for the Cal Poly Students. While Cal Poly owns the land and uses it own water, the grapes belong to Gallo Vineyards and are used to make fine Gallo Wine. The Gallo Company uses it's own workers and sophisticated instruments, such as the weather station (below), and the Cal Poly students get the opportunity to learn about the newest technologies in viticulture.
